He is a direct participant in the information war of the russian federation against Ukraine, who carries out systematic information activities in support of the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, and also uses media platforms to support armed aggression, justify war crimes and spread propaganda. In June 2024, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine notified Havrysh in absentia of suspicion of collaboration.
He began active cooperation with the propaganda resource News Front after russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In his reports, articles, and videos, which are disseminated through pro-kremlin media, including Channel One, "russia-1", and his own Voenkor Havrysh Telegram channel, Havrysh systematically discredits the Ukrainian Defense Forces, spreads disinformation about the course of hostilities, and promotes kremlin narratives. For example, he has been spreading claims about the alleged readiness of the Ukrainian authorities to "lose Pokrovsk", which is a typical element of russian information and psychological operations. At the same time, it is actively working to demonize the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular by publishing content with claims that "Ukrainian militants have organized a hunt for people throughout Dzerzhynsk (temporarily occupied Toretsk)".
Gavrysh's activities are also aimed at justifying and glorifying the actions of the russian occupation forces. In his materials, he calls the russian aggression "liberation", creates a positive image of the russian armed forces, and interviews members of illegal armed groups, legitimizing their activities.
In addition, Havrysh's activities include logistical support for the occupation forces. His own Telegram channel is a platform for organizing fundraisers for the needs of the russian army. In particular, he has documented fundraisers for the purchase of vehicles for the russian Armed Forces units operating in the Pokrovsk sector.
