In July 2023, he actively joined the joint initiative of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation and the head of the russian Media Group, Vladimir Kiselev, together with Yulia Baranovskaya, Grigory Lepsveridze, Elena Severgina and Nikolai Baskov, to pay the russian military a monetary reward of 700 thousand/1 million rubles for the destruction of Leopard 1/Leopard2 battle tanks, which were transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by western partners. In addition, Antonov said he was ready to travel to Donbas to personally present the award and talk to the soldiers. The russian military received certificates for this award in November 2023 at the Golden Gramophone national music award ceremony.
In December 2024, he took part in the leading russian New Year's television show "Goluboy ogonyok" on the VGTRK channel, where, as invited guests, the military personnel of the russian armed forces who are participating or have participated in the war against Ukraine were presented.
