russian film director, producer, and propagandist who uses his status as president of the russian producers guild to conduct systematic anti-Ukrainian activities.
He was putin's confidant during the 2024 presidential election.
In March 2014, he signed a collective appeal by russian cultural figures approving the actions of the russian president regarding the annexation of Crimea. In 2016, he visited the temporarily occupied Crimea, where, with the assistance of the so-called "ministry of culture of Crimea", he held a creative evening and presented the film "Pure Art".
A key element of his participation in the information war was the 2018 feature film Donbass. The Outskirts, which was filmed in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. The premiere of the film was symbolically timed to coincide with "russia day". The content of the film is entirely based on russian propaganda narratives: the events of the Revolution of Dignity are interpreted as a "state coup", and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are demonized and portrayed as aggressors attacking the civilian population. An additional tool of manipulation in the film is the distortion and ridicule of the Ukrainian language.
The company "Interfest", headed by Davletyarov, specializes in organizing and conducting film festivals and events to promote russian cinema abroad.
In April 2024, he was awarded the honorary title of "honored artist of the russian federation".
