russian journalist and propagandist who publicly supports russia's aggression against Ukraine and justifies the occupation of its territory. He glorifies russian military personnel, illegal armed groups, mercenaries, and representatives of the occupation administrations. He creates and disseminates materials aimed at undermining Ukraine's statehood and sovereignty and discrediting Ukraine's top military and political leadership and international partners. He writes columns in propaganda media outlets (RT in russian, Life, Kommersant), through which he systematically disseminates pro-kremlin propaganda.
In his publications on RT in russian, he discredits Ukraine's top military and political leadership, calls russia's full-scale war against Ukraine a "conflict in Ukraine", and shifts responsibility for the aggression from the russian leadership to Ukraine's European partners, accusing them of "inciting war".
He also actively promotes the video game "Squad 22: ZOV", developed by the russian ministry of defense, which glorifies the participants of the "SMO" and discredits the defenders of Ukraine.
In his column on the website of the russian online publication Life, Maltsev publishes materials aimed at discrediting the defenders of Mariupol – servicemen of the Azov brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He calls Ukrainian soldiers "nazi fanatics," accuses them of committing war crimes against civilians and torturing prisoners, and calls for a "Nuremberg 2.0."
On his Telegram channel "Fuck you That's Why," Maltsev glorifies war criminals who participated in the aggression against Ukraine and admires putin. In addition, he promotes narratives about "chaos and rampant crime" in Kyiv, "mass looting" of stores allegedly due to "uncontrolled distribution of weapons" at the beginning of pussia's full-scale invasion, and spreads disinformation about Ukraine as a global center of the illegal arms market.
