During the full-scale aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, the artist changed his initial "anti-war" position to full support of the Kremlin regime. To avoid being "cancelled" in russia, he began to actively visit orphanages in the temporarily occupied territories.
In 2024 and 2025, he participated in the leading russian New Year's television show "Goluboy ogonyok" on the VGTRK channel, where, as invited guests, servicemen of the russian armed forces who are participating or have participated in the war against Ukraine were presented. During the concert, these servicemen were honored by the hosts and participants, given the opportunity to express themselves with "military-patriotic" speeches and convey greetings to their "colleagues" on the front lines.
