POVALIY Taisia Nikolaevna

A russian singer of Ukrainian origin who publicly supports russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Her activity is aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian government and legitimizing russian war crimes.
In her interviews and public statements, she justifies russia’s invasion of Ukraine, describes the war as a "rescue mission" and "protection," repeats narratives about supposed "Nazism" in Ukraine, discredits the Revolution of Dignity, and portrays russia’s 2014 invasion as a "civil war".
In March 2024, during a program hosted by russian propagandist Boris Korchevnikov, she declared that she had been "waiting for the start of the "special military operation".
Since February 2022 she has lived in Moscow, and in August 2023 she obtained citizenship of the russian federation. She consistently supports russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, the annexation of Ukrainian Crimea, putin’s policies, and the kremlin regime. She actively participates in propaganda concerts and receives state-funded contracts during wartime.
In particular, on May 9, 2022, she took part in a concert dedicated to "victory day" in Moscow, and in May 2023, she performed with a child from the temporarily occupied Kadiivka at a concert dedicated to Children's Day at the Central Academic Theater of the russian army in Moscow.
In September 2023, she illegally crossed the state border of Ukraine to perform in temporarily occupied Luhansk at the opening of a memorial complex commemorating, among others, russian servicemen involved in the war against Ukraine. During her performance, she expressed support for russian troops and glorified their role in the invasion.
In July 2024, she took part in the propaganda concert "Voices of victory," which was held with the support of the russian ministry of defense in the temporarily occupied Donetsk.
In December 2024, she participated in the leading russian New Year's television show "Goluboy ogonyok" on the VGTRK channel, where military personnel of the russian armed forces who are or have been involved in the war against Ukraine were presented as invited guests. During the concert, these servicemen were honored by the hosts and participants, given the opportunity to make "military-patriotic" speeches and send greetings to their "colleagues" from the front.
In February 2024, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) notified her in absentia of suspicion under articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning collaboration, public incitement to aggressive war, and justification of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
