GOLOVANOV Roman Olegovich

russian propagandist, journalist, and TV host who actively uses his public status and professional activities to justify and provide media coverage of the russian federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine. He is a correspondent for the domestic politics department of the Komsomolskaya Pravda publishing house, the creator and host of his own media channels on YouTube and Telegram, and the host of the program "Zaveshchanie" on the religious-propaganda TV channel "Spas," which systematically supports the kremlin’s political course and the actions of the russian president.
Since April 2022, he has been hosting his own show, "Vremya Golovanova," on the "Solovyov LIVE" news platform, where, together with invited guests, he discusses in detail the course of hostilities on the front lines and the role of world leaders in geopolitical processes, while supporting and justifying the "special military operation" and the aggressor state’s policy of aggression. In addition, in collaboration with russian political expert Sergei Mikheev, Golovanov launched the "Battlefield" project and published the propaganda book "Battlefield: russia’s Special Path," which provides an ideological justification for russian expansionism.
On his Telegram channel, Golovanov spreads destructive narratives and religious disinformation. In particular, he systematically circulates false claims about the "persecution of the Orthodox Church and Christianity" in Ukraine and baselessly accuses the Ukrainian authorities of allegedly destroying and banning religious institutions. In addition to creating his own content, he actively shares posts by other russian propagandists that contain destructive content aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian government, state institutions, and the Ukrainian people’s values and worldview.
Since 2017, he has repeatedly visited the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to produce biased reports and support the occupation regimes in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories.
