KOT Yuriy Volodymyrovych

A propagandist, television host, and public figure who actively contributes to spreading kremlin narratives and shaping anti-Ukrainian rhetoric in the information space. He openly supports russia’s aggression against Ukraine, justifies the occupation of Ukrainian territories, and works to legitimize kremlin policy.
During the 2013–2014 Revolution of Dignity, Kot served as a host at Kyiv’s so-called "Anti-Maidan" rallies, after which he moved to russia.
He publicly supported pro-russian militants in Donbas and worked for the state propaganda agency rossiya segodnya as well as the information outlet News Front.
In his public appearances, he consistently discredits the Armed Forces of Ukraine and international support for Ukraine. He is known for pushing narratives about "external control of Ukraine," the supposed need for "denazification" and "demilitarization," and openly advocates eliminating Ukraine’s independence and integrating it into russia.
Kot frequently appears on russian television channels and radio, where he justifies war crimes committed by russian forces and accuses Ukraine of provocations. He openly supports the use of harsh force against Ukrainian citizens and publicly approves of the repressive policies imposed by russian occupation administrations on temporarily occupied territories. He also justifies mass missile attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, describing them as an "adequate response".
Through his Telegram channel "Yury Kot – Byt’ Dobru!" he spreads disinformation, manipulations, and smear content targeting Ukraine and its international partners. The channel serves as a tool for disseminating posts aligned with kremlin propaganda and functions as an instrument of information pressure.
In August 2022, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) notified Kot of suspicion of high treason.
