ROZHYN Borys Olexandrovych

He is one of the leading figures in the kremlin's propaganda, actively supporting the occupation of Crimea and russia's aggression against Ukraine.
In February 2014, he coined the well-known term "polite people" to describe russian soldiers without insignia during the occupation of Crimea. This term became one of the key tools of the information war, creating a positive image of the occupation.
With the outbreak of the armed conflict in Donbas in 2014, he headed the editorial office of the Voice of Sevastopol information and analytical center and became the editor-in-chief of the Cassad propaganda channel.
Through his platforms, including the Global Initiatives charitable foundation, he organized fundraising and the delivery of military equipment for the illegal armed groups of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR".
He is the author of numerous publications in which he justifies russian aggression, accuses Ukraine of starting the war, and promotes the kremlin's narrative of "denazification". In his statements, he claims that russia is "at war in Ukraine with the United States and NATO, which are in charge of the fully controlled Zelenskyy regime".
Through his Telegram channel, he systematically spreads disinformation and fakes aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He called for the mobilization of russian citizens, the destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure, and supported massive missile and bomb attacks on Ukrainian cities.
In October 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine notified Rozhyn of suspicion of committing crimes related to calls for genocide and incitement to hatred against the Ukrainian people.
