A russian singer of Ukrainian origin who publicly supports russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the annexation of Crimea, putin’s policies, and the kremlin regime, including through participation in propaganda events.
In 2024, she expressed support for russian volunteers assisting the soldiers of the aggressor state and wished them good health.
Also in 2024, she performed at a kremlin "victory day" concert wearing "russian world" symbols, including the St. George ribbon.
In 2022, she publicly endorsed russia’s "partial mobilization" and stated she was ready to send her husband to fight against Ukraine.
That same year, together with her husband, she participated in a propaganda event during which russian passports were issued to Ukrainians who had left the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to russia.
In 2019, Poryvai congratulated putin on his birthday and posted a photo of them together.
In 2014, she also shared a photo with putin on her Instagram account, emphasizing the friendly nature of their meeting.
She has repeatedly visited temporarily occupied Crimea in 2015, 2019, and 2021.
On 12 October 2016, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) banned her from entering the country for five years.
Since 23 January 2022, she has also been barred from entering Lithuania for five years due to her visits to occupied Crimea.
In July 2022 and January 2023, she visited the United States, where her mother lives.
