Supports and implements putin’s policy of indoctrinating Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
She is one of the leaders of the Zaporizhzhia Region branch of the all-russian public-state movement of children and youth "Movement of the First" and is directly responsible for implementing measures undertaken by the occupation authorities to re-educate, indoctrinate, and militarize children in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Region.
In May 2026, Kostromina organized the municipal stage of the all-russian military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa 2.0" in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Region. During the event, she stated that children were being taught to operate unmanned aerial vehicles and trained in combat engineering, expressing hope that "these skills will serve as a solid foundation in life".
In December 2025, she participated in an event marking the so-called "Constitution Day of the russian federation", during which she presented russian passports to young people from the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia Region.
As part of her activities, she systematically cooperates with military-patriotic organizations. In particular, in January 2025, she participated in a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky together with activists from the "Movement of the First" and "Yunarmiya". During the event, she emphasized that the younger generation should remember the history of the alleged "accession to the russian federation" following the Pereiaslav Council, thereby disseminating russian propagandistic historical narratives.
