NIIP IMENI V.V. TIKHOMIROVA JSC

The company is a russian research and design organization engaged in the development of weapons control systems for fighter aircraft and mobile medium-range air defense missile systems of the ground forces. Among other things, the institute is the developer of weapon control systems for MiG and Su aircraft and for the Kub (Kvadrat) and Buk medium-range surface-to-air missile systems. In December 2012 and November 2023, the enterprise received licenses No. 002595 VVT-OPR and No. L052-00102-77/00894830 from the russian ministry of industry and trade for the development, production, and maintenance of weapons and military equipment.
The controlling stake in the institute is owned by Concern VKO Almaz-Antey JSC and Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies JSC (KRET JSC), a subsidiary of the russian state corporation Rostec.
As part of the cooperation on the production of Orion UAVs, it developed the radar transmitter channel (codename: "RTC UAV radar").
The institute is the developer of the Sh-121 radar-guided weapon systems, which include the N036 "Belka" airborne (on-board) multifunctional radar with a five-antenna array featuring active phased array antennas (APAR) and the L-402 electronic countermeasures system "Himalaya" for the Su-57 multi-role fighters. It also conducts work on the adaptation, manufacture, and supply of radar environment simulators for the test bench of the Chief Designer of the T-50 (Su-57) project.
As part of the cooperation on the production of Su-35S multi-role fighters, the company develops the N035 "Irbis-E" radar control system with passive phased-array antennas and also supplies SNK-135 system kits. In addition, at the request of PJSC UAC, the company conducted research and development work on the topic "Development of functional and informational support for the combat use of the Su-35’s information and control systems in "air-to-air" and "air-to-ground" modes based on data from the radar control system".
