One of the world’s leading manufacturers of nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants and research reactors. It carries out the full technological cycle of fuel assembly manufacturing and produces fuel assemblies for russian-designed reactors (VVER-1000, VVER-1200), as well as for foreign PWR-type reactors. It is a key supplier of nuclear fuel to research centers in russia and abroad, supporting the operation of research facilities in Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. It is the only manufacturer in russia of high-purity metallic lithium and its salts (lithium chloride, lithium hydride, and lithium carbonate). The plant’s products are used in lithium-ion batteries, light alloy metallurgy, and the nuclear power industry. It is part of the fuel company JSC "TVEL", a subsidiary of the state corporation "Rosatom".
As part of a cooperation agreement on the production of 3M22 "Zircon" ballistic missiles, the plant manufactures LK-1 lithium chloride for the production of "Rusar" 29.4(200)-A-A-1 para-aramid fibers, which are used in the missile’s casing.
