Reasons
Design bureau for the development of engines for combat aircraft and stationary power drives for gas compressor units and power plants. The company developed the AL-31F aircraft engine for the Su-27 aircraft, modifications of which are installed on Su-33 and Su-30MK fighters, Su-34 front-line bombers, and the new russian Su-35S and Su-57.
The AL-31F engine is also the basis for the AL-31ST stationary gas turbines deployed at Gazprom facilities, in particular, in the Power of Siberia project. As a branch of UEC-UMPO, it is a part of the United Engine Corporation holding of the russian state corporation Rostec.
The branch is also working on the development and production of second-stage engines—"Product 30"—for the Su-57 aircraft.
