Description:
Two male figures in full-length. On the left is a man with a beard in ¾ turn to the right, head in profile to the right. The right hand, bent at the elbow, holds a spear. His legs are wide apart. He is wearing a jacket with wide sleeves, a vest, pants above the knees, boots, and a beret on his head. To the right is a male figure in a ¾ turn to the right. He is wearing a pleated camisole at the waist, pants just below the knees, boots, and a hat with feathers behind his back. In his left hand is a leash with a dog. His right hand holds a spear resting on his shoulder. To the left are thick tree trunks, in the distance are the outlines of the city. At the bottom right is a bust of a man wearing a hat with a wide brim. Under the image in graphite pencil: "gr. N. Mosolov. Two hunters of the sixteenth century. New work No. 317". ODMZSM label with inv. no. 1292 and sticker with no. 13620. Yellowing of the sheet, yellow spots. Crease in the upper left corner. General soiling of the sheet.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
