Description:
Industrial landscape in the rain. In the foreground on the left is a tower crane on caterpillars, turned to the center of the composition. In the background is the concrete frame of a dam with three cranes standing on it against the sky. The booms of the cranes are cut off by the upper edge of the sheet. On the left is a welded structure. There are clouds and streams of rain in the sky. On the ground and on the dam are silhouettes of people. Below is a flatbed truck. The ground is covered with puddles with circles diverging on the surface. The work is executed in purple and yellow colors. The image has a monogram in the lower right corner: "ASH", under the image is an inscription in graphite pencil: "From the series 'Construction of the Kremenchuk Hydroelectric Power Plant' Cranes on the dam (linocut)" (left), "A. Shchukin 59" (right).

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
