Description:
Interior of a living room. Almost in the center of the composition, a man in a white jacket and black trousers sits on a sofa, ¾ turned to the right, his leg behind his leg, his hands clasped on his knee. High steep forehead, attentive gaze, lush mustache. On the left, in a chair in profile to the right in a long jacket, a man with black wavy hair, mustache and beard, head slightly tilted forward, left hand on his chin, right hand on the armrest of the chair. To the right, on the couch, a woman in a long white dress with a dark shawl on her shoulders is turning ¾ to the left, her braids gathered at the back of her head, her right hand clasped to her chest, her left hand with a book on her lap. On the front wall there is a shelf with books and framed portraits, cut off by the upper edge of the sheet. Below the image in graphite pencil on the left: "T.G. Shevchenko, M. Vovchok, I.S. Turgenev"; on the right: "A. Lyubymsky, M. Rybalchenko 1961": "A. Lyubimsky, M. Rybalchenko "Taras Shevchenko, M. Vovchok and I.S. Turgenev". Reg.№21811, Inv.№9872. General yellowing of the sheet, stains on the back of the printing ink. Light creasing.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
