Description:
A portrait of a young thin woman sitting on a stool with her foot on the other. The image is in front, below the knees. Her hands are closed and resting on her knee. The head is slightly tilted to the right shoulder. The woman is wearing a red-brown dress with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, from under which long narrow sleeves and the collar of a white sweater are visible. Her black hair is cut short, with thick bangs on her forehead. A thin, jowly face with large black almond-shaped eyes, curved narrow eyebrows, a snub nose, and full lips. The background is dark brown, lightened around the head and left shoulder. On the reverse in the upper right corner: Kider Felix Ikhilievich 1938 Female portrait 117 x 59 x oil year of execution 1982 L. Popova. Abrasion and loss of the upper right corner 0.5 x 3 cm. Along the right edge of the loss of paint layer and soil. Near the top edge - a hole from a nail.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
