Description:
Against a pale yellow-green spotted background are vertical white narrow and wide stripes with red spots and stripes: on the left - at the top, above the kettle, on the right - from the center to the bottom. In the center of the canvas is a teapot with a lid and a spout on the left. The spout and the left side of the kettle are painted in white, the right side in red and brownish-yellow. There are white candles on the sides of the teapot (on the left, with a tongue of flame). In front of the kettle, there is a candle with the inscription: POME! IERUSALIM ROMA. On the reverse side: the author's inscription in black at the top right: Kider Felix Ihal. Polyptych "Narratives" 3. The Story of the Destroyed Second Temple. x., m. 139 x 119 1993. Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
