Description:
Below the knees. The figure is turned ¾ to the right, the face is shown almost in full face. A young woman is depicted sitting on a chair, wearing a dark blue dress with a white collar. A black scarf is wrapped around her elbows. Her right hand is lowered, her left hand is on a round polished table to her left. His dark hair is gathered at the back of his head. In the ears are golden earrings - rings. The background is a gray wall. In the lower left corner is IT 59.
On the back, in the lower right corner, there is a passport of the State Highway Administration No. 20083. On the top of the stretcher: Female portrait of Tartakovsky 693 (outlined by a triangle). On the lower part of the stretcher: KHEMZ kv 283 zh-247, NKOKHKhM zh-101 KP-195 KHEM KP-88.
At the top right is a swelling of the canvas. The image of the chest shows the paint layer falling off.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
