Description:
City streets on a rainy day. In the foreground, diagonally, is an alley with tall trees. To the left, cut off by the edge of a leaf, is a picture of a group of people with umbrellas moving. There is a lawn by the road. On the opposite side of the street is an alley. Trees and human figures are interpreted in a generalized way. In the background are high-rise buildings. The coloring is in muted ochre-gray and greenish tones. The author's signature is in brown at the bottom right: Trapenok 82 p. On the back - Inscription in black: Trapenok Viktor Mykhailovych, born in 1941 "Rainy Day" oil on gouache, 46 x 53 cm 1982, Kherson. In the upper half of the canvas - cracking of the paint layer, in the center and in the upper right corner - precipitation of the paint layer.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
