Description:
The background of the St. Petersburg landscape depicts two men walking. The man on the left is wearing glasses and an unbuttoned dark-colored coat. On his head, slightly turned to the right, is a dark cylinder. The man on the right, with a bare, slightly balding head, with his hands behind his back, is wearing a light unbuttoned coat. Behind them, on the right, is a sculpture of a lion stepping on a ball with its paw. To the left is the Neva River with the Peter and Paul Fortress visible on the opposite bank. Under the image on the left is the author's inscription in graphite pencil: "Shevchenko; Chernyshevsky", on the right is the signature and date of 1961: "Linocut in black and white". General yellowing of the sheet, slight creasing of the sheet. In the lower right corner - a yellow spot, in the lower - a dark spot. In the upper corners on the back - paper stickers.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
