Description:
In the foreground to the right of the center is a generational image of a girl. The figure turns 3/4 of a turn to the left, clutching an assault rifle at chest level. The face is open, with regular features: high forehead, gray eyes, straight nose, and small mouth. Reddish hair is visible from under a gray earflap hat. She is wearing a green jacket with a brown belt. In the middle ground, to the left and right, there are bushes. The background is a winter landscape (uneven terrain is partially covered with snow, with some brown earth islands). In the background is a narrow strip of river. The sky is painted in pink and gray colors. In the lower right corner is the author's signature in black paint: "S. Nevelstein 58". In the upper left corner there is craquelure, a dent in the upper right, and a swelling to the left of the center. In the lower center, the paint layer is crumbling 1.5 cm and 2 cm, in the right part of the work, the paint layer is crumbling 0.8 mm. The painting was removed from the stretcher.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
