Description:
In the foreground is a sloping surface of lilac-ochre ground painted with tilted short strokes. Just above the corner from the left to the right, there are brown shrubs running diagonally. In the background, on the left, there is a group of dark green trees, on the right, a small tree with bare branches. The horizon line is covered by mountains: high on the left and low on the right. To the right of the center, near the mountains, there is a small house. The mountains are painted in violet-blue-ochre color (in the light - light ochre with white). The sky is light blue with white clouds on the left. On the back - in black ink: Botko Ivan Ivanovich 35x24 Gurzuf. Mountains. C. m. 1984. 1914. Right (3) and top (2) nail punctures.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
