Description:
To the right of the center is Gorky, standing on a mountain. The image is full-length, with a ¾ turn to the left. He is dressed in striped trousers and a shirt. He is holding a coat in his left hand, and a hat in his right hand, which is clasped to his chest. His head is tilted, his eyebrows are drawn together. His long hair is disheveled. In front of him, at the left edge, is a part of a tombstone. To the left are two Ukrainians sitting on a slope with their backs to the viewer. In the background is the black surface of the river. On the high horizon are the banks. The sky is overcast.
Under the print with a graphite pencil: "M. Gorky at the grave of Taras Shevchenko", signed by the author and dated 1964, below - 39.5 x 50.5.
On the back, in the lower right corner in graphite pencil: Nasedkin A.L. Gorky on the grave of Taras Shevchenko. Reg. 26531 inv. no. 13120.
Slight yellowing of the sheet. In the margins of the dirt, small creases.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
