Description:
Still life. In the foreground, on a frame with a gray draped cloth with the inscription "OEMEZIA", to the left, in a horizontal rectangle, is a gondola, in the center - in a crystal vase - three roses, to the right - a white statuette with a winged lion, a series of bright green and yellow beads. Behind them is a part of a painting with a landscape of Venice. In the foreground is a group of people, behind them are brown and red houses with sloping roofs. To the right are multi-story buildings, in the center are buildings with arched windows and balconies. To the left, on a high pedestal, is an equestrian statue. The sky is blue-blue, cloudy. Below, on the right, is black paint: "84. M. Birstein". On the reverse side, at the top right, in black paint: "Birshtein M.A. Memories of Venice. 100x80, 1984".

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
