Description:
Evening landscape with a high horizon line. In the foreground, on the right, there is a plank table with a burning kerosene lamp and two stacks of plates. A young woman sits on a bench near the table, peeling potatoes. The woman is wearing a white shawl tied at the back of her head, a plaid blouse, a dark skirt, and a jacket over her shoulders. In the center is a can and a basket of vegetables. In the background, there is a cart with a horse by its side. A tractor is on the horizon.
Under the print, on the left, a graphite pencil: "The Cook", signed by the author on the right: "Vl. Beskaravaynyi".
On the reverse, in the lower center, in graphite pencil: "Fibreboard 38817 Beskaravaynyi V.M. "Cook", left 546/1964. The edge of the sheet is creased; minor creasing, yellowing of the paper in the margins.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
