Description:
In the left part of the composition, in a high-backed red armchair, a girl in a long dark dress with a black bow in her brown hair sits in right profile. On the left, a porcelain statuette, a book, threads, and embroidery are depicted on a desk. On the right, in line with the armchair, there is a red sofa with two embroidered cushions, a dark brown table with curly legs, and a table cut off by the right edge of the sheet. On the front wall and on the floor are carpets with floral ornaments.
Inscribed at lower right in graphite pencil "A. Silk" (signed by the author).
Condition: Paper worn. In the center are two vertical creases. Near the top edge of the sheet - punctures from nails. Along the upper edge - tears.
Restoration: In 2009-2010 - scientific restoration at the NDRCU (Kyiv), Mr. Yatsenko G.S. P-3445.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
