Description:
In the center of the vertical composition, against a landscape (emerald green trees and turquoise sky with white clouds), are thigh-high images of a tall man (right) and a woman (left) standing side by side. The figures are depicted in a 3/4 turn to the right. The woman's right hand is clasped to her chest, her head is shown in full face and slightly tilted to the left. Her face is round, her eyes are gray-blue, and her light brown hair is parted in a straight parting and combed back. She is wearing a green and yellow short-sleeved blouse and an ochre skirt. The man's arms are lowered: the right hand is on the left, the head is depicted in right profile. The man is long-faced, with a beard and mustache, his hair is dark ash, his head has a high bald spot. He is wearing a red sweater and red-brown pants. There is a shadow between the figures. On the back - On the stretcher at the top right and left on the sticker DVSFSR, above the inscription in red "DVSFSR" and glass - № 4800. On the crosspiece at the top in red - No. 4800, on the right in glassine - GOSSR. On the stretcher at the bottom right is an inscription in pencil "Poch - 25 II - 74". On the canvas at the top left in charcoal 142×110, at the top right: "Orlov I.M. "Two" 1974" and signed by the author. General soiling of the canvas, deformation. Crease in the canvas along the line of the stretcher. Right along the line of the crease 6 holes: 0.3 cm; 0.1 cm; 0.2 cm; 0.5 cm; 0.6 cm; 0.2 cm. Near the lower edge in the middle there are three nail punctures and abrasions: 7 cm x 0.6 cm; 0.5 cm x 1.5 cm; 2 cm x 1 cm; 0.5 cm x 0.3 cm.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
