Description:
Sketch. There are three compositions on the plane, separated from each other by wooden slats. Left part. Three-figure composition. The accordionist, sitting on a stool, is seen from the back in a 3/4 turn to the right. He is dressed in dark gray pants and a light green shirt. Behind him are a blonde girl (3/4 turn to the right) and a young man holding her hand. She is wearing a red skirt, white blouse, and light green vest. He is wearing a light green suit. The background is orange. The middle part. A couple is dancing. The girl is in the foreground. The figure is given in full face, head in 3/4 turn to the right. The young man is behind her. Pose of the girl: left leg slightly extended. The right hand, bent at the elbow, is on the belt, the left hand, which covers the figure of the young man, is extended. The girl is wearing a Latvian national costume: a white blouse with puffed sleeves and a turn-down collar, a light green vest, a long, wide orange skirt, and a white apron over it. The boy is wearing light green clothes. The background is orange. To the right in the depths is the outline of a male figure, a green jug and a dark orange bowl. Right side. Four-figure composition. The figures are turned to the left. Two seated women dressed in Latvian national costumes. One of them with a small child sitting on her lap. Behind them are two standing men. On the back - Top left: "35 in the circle of J. Skulme" in graphite pencil. Further illegible inscription in graphite pencil. On the right in black paint: "Wedding" 52.5 x 104. In the middle, in black stencil: "ДВСХСССР № 2082". In the lower left corner in red paint: "9". In the lower right is a sticker with printed text: "D. Skulme. Wedding. (Triptych)". Everywhere thick coarse mesh craquelure. On the edges - chips.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
