Description:
Almost in the center, against the background of a white stone wall, is a 3/4-turn image of a man standing to the left, dressed in a green suit, light shirt with a black tie, and a gray raincoat, with the Star of the Hero of Socialist Labor on the left lapel of his jacket. Facial features: high, open forehead, short-cropped hair combed back; eyes with a slight squint, large, wide nose, narrow lips. His left hand is in his jacket pocket. In the background to the left is a low building with an open door, next to it is a tavern, cut off by the left edge of the image. Lower left in blue paint: "E. Weissburg" 1973. On the back - On the upper bar of the stretcher in black paint "art. Weisburg E. Portrait of Zavadsky K.P. Hero of the Socialist. Labor. size 120x100". The stretcher is deaf.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
