Description:
Against a blue sky, among white concrete structures, there is a solid image of three construction workers in overalls and helmets. One of them, raising his head, stretches out his right arm and bends his left arm, given below the waist, from the back, in the lower right corner. The second, sitting on a slab, is in the middle part of the canvas. The third, standing, is at the top. The author's signature is in red ocher at the lower left: "L. Verkman" and the date: "75". On the back - On the canvas in the upper left corner in black paint: L. Verkman "Builders" 203 x 122. On the stretcher, on the upper side in dark brown paint: "L. Verkman Builders 203x122". On the left side at the top in black paint: "Mon. No. 117"; below - in graphite pencil: "3640 122х203". On the vertical crosspiece at the top in red pencil: "Mon. inv. no. 117". The stretcher is sliding on stakes, with a cross-shaped crosspiece. Significant sagging of the canvas. Everywhere - cracking of the paint layer. At the edges - scuffs and nail punctures. At the top left edge there are two vertical scratches with loss of the upper paint layer: 80 cm, 45 cm; - below the middle - a hole 2.5x1.8 cm. General contamination, spotty scattering of paint and soil everywhere.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
