Description:
In the center of the composition is a bust image of an elderly man in a ¾ turn to the right with a slight forward head tilt with a high bald spot, gray lush hanging mustache, dressed in a white shirt and black coat, holding a girl in a dark scarf with his left hand. To the left, on the shoulder, in ¾ of the reverse to the right, is the image of a boy in a dark coat and a high black fur hat. To the right, at the front edge of the sheet, on the shoulder, almost with his back to the viewer, is a boy with blond hair. The background is a light green wall with columns. Inscribed in graphite pencil under the print: on the left "T. Shevchenko with children" Autolithography", on the right "Ginzburg G. 61g". Bottom center Ginzburg B. N. "Shevchenko with children" reg #21731 inv 9777. Near the right edge of the sheet 96. Creased edges, traces of mounting, two tears of the upper edge of the sheet, three tears of the lower edge of the sheet.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
