Description:
The sheet consists of three compositions. Composition 1. A bust image of a middle-aged man, with the figure and head turned ¾ to the left. Beard, mustache, long wavy hair. He is dressed in a priest's cassock. On his chest are three crosses and an order, on his head is a clobuk. Below the image is an inscription: "Bishop Alexander of Arkhangelsk and Kholmogorsk, former abbot of the Solovetsky Monastery, its defender against the enemy's attack in the last war, in July 1854." 2 compositions. In the foreground is a river, a raft, and floating boats. To the right is a bridge across the river, behind it is a forest. On the sandy bank is part of a monastery with the main church and bell tower. The caption below the image reads: "Part of the city of Vologda, where His Majesty the Emperor was pleased to be on June 15, 1858.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
