Description:
The sheet is divided into two compositions. On the top, a group of courtiers is depicted in the doorway of a large room with the emperor walking in front. He is dressed in a uniform with accolades and ribbons. On the forearm of his right hand is a helmet with a cone. In front of the emperor are the attendants in a semicircle in long clothes. Below, in a hall with paintings, a group of royalty with the emperor in the center. The emperor is holding out his hand to a cup, which is being handed to him by a man. The man is dressed in a tailcoat and has his back to the viewer. Next to him is a table with cups and statuettes. To the right, near the column, is a group of men in tailcoats. Under the composition are explanatory texts: "Meeting of His Majesty the Emperor with Superintendent Pelchau at the entrance to the Lutheran Church of St. Peter in Riga, May 26, 1856". General soiling, stains of iron bacteria, leakage in the corners, insect excrement.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
