Description:
A rural landscape with a high horizon line. In the foreground, parallel to the edge of the canvas, there is a river with brown-green water and blurred reflections. Behind it is a gently sloping gray bank with small groups of people, and a tractor on the right. Three tall trees are lined up along the bank. In the background is a brown and ochre-green hill with small rural huts among the greenery. The background is blue and purple. The sky is lilac-gray with greenish-yellowish-white clouds on the horizon. On the back, at the top right, there is an inscription: "Dzevanovsky D.P. 1916. In Vinnytsia region. 1984. 68 x 105 h/m Kherson Ushakova 51 SX". Burlap of liquid weave. Everywhere there are many cases of paint layer and soil at the joints of weaving. Sagging of the fabric.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
