Description:
Landscape. In the foreground, to the right of the centre of the composition, on a flat area overgrown with grass, is the monument to Howard. To the left is a grey road that goes deep into the composition, to its centre. To the left of the road are the ruins of a stone building with small lattice windows. In the background to the left are two kibits with horses, two grey huts, and human figures. In the background to the right is the All Saints' Church with blue domes and the adjacent cemetery, surrounded by a yellow stone fence. On the horizon to the left is a water tower and brown one-storey houses, trees, in the centre is a train with green cars going to the right, to the right are one-storey white houses with brown roofs. The sky is blue with white clouds. At the bottom right, in brown paint, is the author's inscription: "Kherson. 1925. H. Serhiiiev". In the lower left corner is a dent without damage to the paint layer. The stretcher is blind with a vertical membrane.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
