Description:
Multi-figure composition. Against the gray wall in the center are two young men standing in white suits. One of them is wearing a helmet with a raised visor, holding a rapier. Behind him is a young man in a face. A coach in a gray-brown suit and a white sweater is next to him. In the background: a young man sitting on a bench; next to it stands 3/4 turn to the left. The figures of both are cut off by the edge of the canvas. To the left are three rapiers and two helmets on a hanger. On the canvas: "I.P. Hryhoriev: ‘Team of fencers’ 160x200 m/h 1971 Kyiv" ("Григор’єв І.П.: "Команда фехтувальників" 160х200 м/х 1971 рік Київ"). On the upper right corner of the stretcher, in red pencil "10F" ("10Ф"), a sticker of the Passport of Directorate of Art Exhibitions of Ukraine listed No. 19551 - in the lower right corner. In the lower right corner, at a distance of 6 cm from the lower edge, there is a fall off of the paint layer measuring 0.7x0.8 cm (a dent after being hit by a blunt object) (09.12.82). The stretcher is closed.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
