Description:
A multi-figure composition. To the left is a figure (below the waist, in front) of an elderly man with a beard and moustache; his left hand is behind his back, his right hand, barely visible, along his body. He is wearing a wide shirt with an open collar, the sleeves are tucked behind the armholes of a vest worn over the shirt, and there is a complex drapery of clothing at the waist. His head is tied with a scarf. To his right is a man in a turban, sitting barefoot in Turkish style, with a jug with an open lid at his feet. Behind him, with his head tilted, is a young man with long hair and a turban. Behind him, to the right, is an elderly man with a beard (image below the waist, in profile left) wearing a headdress with a tassel. Behind him, to the right, is an old man with grey hair (bust), beard and moustache. Above the images in the first row are figures of men and women in Turkish dress. Below the image: "Turks of the western shore of the Black Sea".
Condition: General soiling of the sheet, tears at the edges, creases at the corners. The lower edge is cut off.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
