Description:
The sheet includes 6 compositions depicting city views. Top right: in the foreground on the left is a hill with trees and two houses behind a fence, on the left is the roof of a house with a high chimney; in the background are the walls of a fortress on the flat surface of the hill with church domes above them. Under the image: "The fortress... (Moscow gub)". The composition at the top left: diagonally from left to right, the image of a dilapidated fortress wall. Between the upper compositions: an image of a massive fortress gate with an arched passage. The composition at the bottom right: a river in the foreground, looking into the composition. To the right, along the river, is the fortress wall with two donjons. To the left is a part of a log building, and in the background along the river are low buildings. The composition at the bottom left is an image of the fortress walls, and to the left is a tall, multifaceted tower with an arched cornice. In front of the tower, to the right, are two spreading trees. In the centre, between the upper and lower compositions, is a depiction of the fortress wall with 3 donjons and church heads behind them to the left and right. The tower is adjoined on the right by a gate, from which a road arcs to the left. On the road to the left is a horse drawn by a carriage with two passengers. In the centre are 2 canopies, with figures of people depicted under and around them. Between the lower compositions is the inscription: "Russian antiquity from the travel album of Count M.D. Buturlin".

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
