Description:
On a blue background, an old clock and two vases stand on a table. The vase on the left is in the form of a crater without handles, on a high stem. The vase on the right has a wide body, steep shoulders, a high narrow neck, a long curved spout, and a curved handle. The clock, vases, and table have a smoothly falling drapery (fabric glued to the canvas, painted with brown oil paint and varnished). In the lower right corner, the author's signature in grey paint: (illegible) 77. On the upper left side of the stretcher there is a sticker: "O. Abols. Without five twelve H. comb. technique". On the right is a sticker with text in Latvian. On the right in red: "Without five minutes 12". On the left side of the stretcher in black paint: № 7488. On the backing: "TWO EAST USSR". On the right side is a sticker: "DV 40 ZH".

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
