Description:
Interior. In the foreground is a room with coloured grey wallpaper. In the centre is an easel with a painting. To the left of it is a chair. On the right wall is a washbasin and a stool with a white basin. Above the sink is a painting. A green stove is visible at the right edge. At the left edge is a part of a window, near which an elderly man is depicted standing in front of a mop. There is a small dog on the floor. In the centre is an open door through which a second room is visible. In the left profile is a man sitting at a desk. To the left, near the window, there is a flower on a stand. In the back there is a grey sofa, a shelf with books on the wall, and photographs. The stretcher is sliding. Two small patches in the upper part of the canvas. In the lower part of the restoration corrections and toning. Fine-mesh craquelure.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
