Description:
In the center, diagonally from right to left, there is a bed with dark brown backs. On a white bed with two large pillows, there is a child, covered up to the shoulders with a red blanket. At the feet sits a woman in a warm long dress with a shawl on her shoulders, her head tilted in profile, the figure from the back 3/4 to the left. The left leg is thrown over the right, part of the left arm raised to the lips is visible. To the right, near the back, there is a table with a white tablecloth with a decanter. In the background, to the left of the bed, there is a stool under a white napkin. The floor is red-brown with a path to the bed. The wall behind the bed is darkened. At the bottom right, there is an inscription in dark brown paint “S. Orlov 1902” (“С.Орлов 1902”). The stretcher is movable, in the left part of the canvas there are three dark stains from glue. At the bottom right, there are two patches. In the image of the wall and floor on the right, there is a coarse mesh craquelure.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
