Description:
On a dark brown background, a waist image of a woman. Head 3/4 to the right, figure in full face. The lower part of the arms is cut off by a painted oval with a black border. She is dressed in a gray deep-necked folk dress, trimmed with lace at the neckline and decorated with white polished stones. Over the left shoulder is a blue moiré ribbon, on the right chest is the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. An ermine mantle is draped over her shoulder. On her black hair is a red diadem decorated with pearls. Pearl threads are woven into the hair. On the reverse side – In the upper left corner with white paint -35-; in the lower right corner with blue paint -60-. The work is matted.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
