Description:
Interior of a room. Full-length image of a man sitting on a chair. The figure is turned ¾ to the left. In his right hand he holds a razor near his neck. He is wearing a white shirt and gray pants. On the left is a round table. On it are a mirror and a glass of water. In the background, on the right, there is a cello, clothes on the back of a chair, and a picture on the wall. On the left is a red dressing table. In the center on the wall is a coat and cap, in the corner of the room is a cello case. In the lower right corner is a signature in dark brown paint: "N. Skadovsky" ("Н. Скадовский"). On the left in red, slightly illegible: "1889. Skadovsky" ("1889. Скадовський").
Condition: Along the left and right edges in the center – small depressions from mechanical damage. Along the bottom edge – scree, in the center – a stain of scree from the paint layer (2.2x1 cm). At the top near the left edge – a scratch (1.2 cm)

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
