Description:
In the foreground is a dark gray, gentle sandy shore. In the background, on the right, a blue expanse of water with pink reflections, wedged into the green shore to the left of the center. In the center and to the right on the shore are several dark green trees. On the right, there is an opposite gentle blue-green shore. The sky is light, yellow-blue with a blue stripe near the horizon, with bright yellow and pink stripes from the light of the rising sun. In the sky in the center, there are several birds. At the bottom left, in red paint, the signature: “K. Kryzhytskyi” (“К. Крижицкій”). On the back, the artwork is matted. The canvas is warped. On the image of the shore, at the bottom left of the center, there is a large-mesh craquelure. On the right edge, there are scuffs, multiple oval paint flakes, scratches, a spot of spot precipitation. On the image of the sky, there are several vertical cracks.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
