Description:
In the foreground, from the center, there is a pond behind a green hill to the left. On the hill of logs there is a hut and a wooden barn with thatched roofs. Between the buildings, a red-gray path leads from the pond to the gate. Near the barn is a tall tree with a lush green crown. To the right of the pond is a compacted wheat field with closely placed mounds near the shore. On the shore is a full-length figure of a woman holding a white canvas above the water. From the shore, diagonally from left to right, there is a small green hill, covered to the left and slightly to the right of the center with a green forest. On the right are three trees. The sky is light blue with white clouds. At the bottom right is a signature in dark brown paint. “K. Kryzhytskyi” (“К.Крижицкій”). Conservation and restoration activities in the museum 08-15.10.2013 by artists-restorers of the Kyiv National Research Restoration Center of Ukraine.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
