In russia, Rosgeologia and its subsidiaries provide a range of geophysical services for the prospecting and exploration of oil and gas fields, and are controlled by the russian government.
In February 2024, the United States imposed sanctions on a vessel ultimately managed by Rosgeologia and used for geophysical surveys and offshore exploration drilling in russia, as well as in international projects on behalf of the russian government.
