Description:
Genre composition. Two middle-aged men in full-length are depicted on a large scale. From right to left in profile, cut off by the right edge is the figure of a man in dark pants, a brown jacket, and a cap. Head slightly tilted and stretched forward, hands in pockets. On the left, a man is in a ¾ turn to the right, resting on his right leg, his left leg is extended forward, his right hand is in his pants pocket, his left hand is at his waist. He is dressed in pants of protective color, naked to the waist. Rounded face with a large nose, small gray eyes. His hair is red. In the right part of the canvas, from the foreground deep into the composition, there is an image of a canal with reflected clouds. In the background, against the blue sky, there is a cylinder-shaped elevator tower with a hemispherical dome and one-story buildings. There is a sticker on the stretcher with the text: "Balinskas Romualdas Ionovich "Meliorators" 1985-1986. 1959. 141 x 110 cm on canvas, oil. Address: Lithuanian SSR. Vilnius, Gorky str. In the upper left corner, the paint layer is cracked. On the left side of the image of the right pant leg is a scuff. In the upper middle, at the edge, there is a puncture in the canvas with crumbling.
