Manipulates publicly relevant information, systematically disseminates typical kremlin propaganda narratives, fakes and disinformation about Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and discredits the Ukrainian government.
In February 2014, together with a number of russian journalists, public and political figures, he signed the appeal of the "We are all Berkut" fund, established to support the members of the Ukrainian special unit Berkut, which confronted activists on Euromaidan.
In 2022, during the temporary occupation of Melitopol by russian troops, the occupation authorities ensured the distribution of leaflets in the city calling on residents to subscribe to Solovyov's Telegram channel, to tune in to russian state television and to avoid "propaganda and disinformation from Kiev."

In November 2022, he created the SVRxFund, which recruits volunteers, trains them, provides combat alignment of personnel, and continuously raises funds for uniforms and weapons for кussian soldiers and to help the families of mobilized soldiers. In addition, the SVRxFund, according to the official website of the fund, supplies the russian armed forces with equipment, uniforms, tents, medical kits, special equipment - communication and reconnaissance equipment, copters, thermal imagers, night sights, as well as supports the development, testing and implementation of new products and services for the military infrastructure.
Also in November 2022, he became the head of the New Media Workshop, which received a presidential grant of 36 million rubles for specialists in media communications and public relations of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR".
He holds the military rank of Major in the reserve of the Armed Forces of the russian federation.
